Italian festivals to screen Iranian ‘Media’, ‘Plight’

Two festivals in Italy has set to screen Iranian short films ‘Media’ and ‘Plight’, both written and directed by Mohammad-Reza Khavari.

Experiencing its fourth international screening at the PiGrecoZen Filmfest, ‘Plight’ has made its way to the competition section of the Italian event.

‘Plight’ has already gone on screen at the Berlin Flash Film Festival in Germany, the Rome Cinema DOC in Italy and the Miami Independent Film Festival in the US.

‘Plight’ will compete in the 60-second category with films from Russia, Ukraine, Italy, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Canada, the US, the UAE, India, Nepal, Argentina and Spain.

This edition of the festival is set to host feature films, short films (under 20 minutes), 60-second films (competitive) and 60-second films (noncompetitive).

The 4th edition of the PiGrecoZen is slated for October 24-28, 2017.

Khavari’s other short film, ‘Media’, is set to experience its 5th international screening at the Geo Film Festival and EXPOCINEMA.

The Geo Film Festival and EXPOCINEMA is slated to screen short films under 30 minutes from November 9, 2017, to March 4, 2018.
